Redhill is one of only a handful of South African schools running both IEB and IB DP, with the IB MYP for Grades 6 to 9. The 2025 IEB results were the top among private schools nationally, with an average of 4.3 distinctions per candidate and 98% of pupils achieving at least one A. Fees run roughly R98,000 to R199,000.

Families describe staff who are quick to spot when a child needs intervention or learning support, a strong creative arts and music programme, and a campus on a Morningside ridge. The recurring concern in parent voice is around bullying and how culture is managed. Best fit for academically motivated Sandton families who want the option to choose between IEB and IB at matric without changing schools.

  • Academic outcomes are the headline. The 2025 IEB matric cohort averaged 4.3 distinctions per pupil across 88 candidates (309 distinctions in total), topping co-educational private schools nationally that year. The IB cohort averaged 33.31 against a world average of 29.30. The school has held a 100% pass rate for over 30 years.
  • Parent voices praise the campus, teacher passion and pastoral care. One parent described "the most remarkable journey at Redhill School", crediting supportive staff and academic and personal growth.
  • Bullying surfaces as a recurring concern. Reviewers report incidents of bullying and hate speech causing damage to students, and parents acknowledge the school engages with the issue. The school publishes a formal Student Protection Policy.
  • Some reviewers flag staff turnover and tensions around freedom of expression on campus.
  • One ex-pupil confirmed attending Redhill while based in Hyde Park; not a review.
