Narada is named for the Sri Lankan monk Bhikkhu Narada and runs on the motto Bahusacca Sippa Sila, the balance of knowledge, skill, and morality. Teaching is in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Indonesia, with small class sizes and a deliberately non-commercial fee structure aimed at affordability rather than profit.

The Buddhist character framing, daily Dhamma practice, and small classes are the draw for ethnic Chinese-Indonesian Buddhist families in West Jakarta. Graduates progress to universities in Jakarta, Bandung, and Tangerang, and abroad to Taiwan, China, Germany, Australia, and the United States. Best fit for Buddhist families in the Kosambi, Cengkareng, and Duri Kosambi catchments wanting a values-led SPK with the Cambridge option, and an alternative to the bigger commercial private schools in the area.
