The school operates from a spacious 8-hectare campus in East Jakarta with notable facilities including a 400-seat theatre, sports hall, two swimming pools, six tennis courts, and specialized science, music and dance rooms. Parents appreciate the connection to the Singapore ACS brand and the school's structured approach to education, with Singapore Mathematics being a particular strength. The IBDP programme produces respectable results, and the school maintains clear pathways from Cambridge Primary through to university preparation.

With over 1,200 students, ACS Jakarta serves a diverse international community while maintaining smaller class sizes than some Jakarta schools. The East Jakarta location puts it outside the traditional South Jakarta international school hub, which some families see as either a drawback or an advantage depending on their residential preferences. Alumni and current families generally speak positively about the academic standards and school culture, noting the school's emphasis on both academic achievement and character development that reflects its ACS heritage.

  • Strong STEM track record. Parents and aggregator reviews consistently flag math, sciences and Singapore Mathematics as standout strengths, with university destinations including MIT, Oxford and Harvard cited by school directories.
  • Cambridge from preschool through Grade 10, then IB Diploma in Grades 11 and 12. One Singaporean ex-student who spent seven years there described the school as a Singaporean Methodist school with high academic focus.
  • Parents looking for a strong arts pathway have a real concern. Multiple commentators say the school does less for music, performing arts and creative writing than for STEM, and arts-leaning students can feel under-served.
  • Discipline and culture in the senior school draw mixed comment. Aggregator reviews note an authoritarian secondary feel, with some students describing the upper years as less enjoyable than primary, and parents flag teacher movement higher than expected.
  • Affiliated with ACS Singapore but operates on its own ACS campus in East Jakarta, with a separate ACS BSD campus and the new Bali campus opening 2025. Reputation among Indonesian families is strong, with one Reddit thread treating an ACS BSD/Bali launch as significant local news.
