A small, family-feel British school on the main road through Châtelaine, ten minutes from the UN, and the only school in Geneva that takes students all the way to British A-Levels.

Founded in 2005, BSG runs the English National Curriculum from age 3 to 19 with class caps of 18, and 14 in the A-Level sixth form. The student body is around 250, drawn from over 70 nationalities, and the school is COBIS Patron-accredited and CIS-affiliated.

The appeal is straightforward. Families looking for a calm, English-medium alternative to the bigger Geneva schools find smaller classes, more personal attention from teachers, and direct A-Level routes into UK universities at fees roughly two-thirds of what the larger international schools charge. The trade-off is scale. The site is a residential building with a small playground, and sports and extracurricular range cannot match a 1,500-student campus.

  • Smaller than the Geneva alternatives (Ecolint, GES, CDL, Institut Le Rosey day pathways): one alumna described it as "a small school". Suits families who want the English National Curriculum without the scale of Ecolint.
  • One alumna (2023 and 2025 posts) says she liked it, got strong results, and found the teachers understanding. She also mentioned the school as one of the cheapest international options in Geneva, citing roughly 26,000 USD a year, though fee figures online are several years old.
  • Pure English-medium with French as a second language; one of the few in Geneva to take the English National Curriculum cleanly through to A Level.
  • One family looking for SEN/learning support reported a frustrating admissions experience: an arrangement reached with the head and admissions was reversed after a leadership change, and a sibling was refused. Read as a single negative data point on continuity, not a pattern.
  • A 2024 parent-circle screenshot incident drew attention but the underlying content was confirmed as genuine school communication rather than a reflection on teaching.
