Global Indian International School, Dubai (GIIS)

Fees, annual
AED 18–36k
Ages

Pupils

Founded
2002

Part of the Singapore-headquartered Global Schools Group network, opened in Dubai in 2017 and relocated to its Meydan campus in 2021. KHDA Good with around 1,000 students.

Hybrid curriculum is the distinctive thing here. Primary and middle blend CBSE with elements of the IB PYP and the English National Curriculum, then Grades 11 and 12 sit the CBSE board exams. Fees range from roughly AED 17,000 at pre-KG to AED 36,000 at Post-16, mid-tier for an Indian curriculum school in Dubai. Led by Ganesh Sharma. National Agenda compliance scored Very Good.

Parent voice runs warm. Around four in five families say their children genuinely enjoy school, three in four see fees as good value, and most would recommend it onward. Families praise communication, a kind atmosphere and teachers who explain practically. Inspectors describe the facilities as functional rather than inspiring and flagged inclusion as still developing. Best fit for families wanting CBSE rigour with a softer, more international-feeling delivery than a pure CBSE school.

Head of school

Mr Ganesh Sharma

It is a privilege to serve as a Principal of Global Indian International School- an institution that has earned a well-deserved reputation in the field of education. In present times, education has transformed to a great extent – evolving from being a one-way street to being a more collaborative and creative approach – with the teacher and the learner contributing equally to the process of learning. Parental involvement is also an essential process now, which makes all three stakeholders active participants in the educational journey and success of a single student. Such changes have brought about other revisions which makes schooling a pathway for holistic development as opposed to bookish learning. When a student emerges from school, he/she exudes not just academic knowledge and sports achievements, but also proficiency in various skills, and values like compassion and courage. Spiritual development is also a big component of the entire process, which makes the student a well-developed individual. We believe in this kind of holistic education for our students, encompassing academics, co-curricular activities, sports and life skills learning. We encourage you to visit the school, engaging with our vibrant community of teachers, and get to know the facilities and benefits of the new-age learning for students, to understand how the school is future-ready and well positioned to prepare students for the 21st century. Our SMART Campus is designed to meet such a vision and accomplish the mission of giving our students the best learning outcomes with the help of latest technology and thoughtfully designed infrastructure for maximum benefits to students. With this in mind, I look forward to working with you as a team, to groom each student at GIIS to meet their aims and goals and have a successful school life.
