A new British school on The Pearl, opened August 2022, operated by Orbital Education in joint venture with United Development Company.

USI sits on a 45,000 square metre site at Viva Bahriya and is one of two Orbital schools in Doha. Capacity will reach 2,600 students from age 3 to 18. The curriculum is the English National Curriculum and IGCSE, with sixth form to follow as the school grows up. Ian Evason is Executive Principal.

Early parent voice is positive on facilities, on the welcome from leadership and on the still-small year groups in upper primary and lower secondary that allow for individual attention. Fees are at the upper end of Doha British schools, which is the Pearl premium. The thing to size up honestly is age cohort. Some year groups are well populated, others are still small while the school fills out.
