Cities / Doha / Newton International Academy Lusail

Newton International Academy Lusail

The newest of the Newton group's Doha campuses, opened in August 2025 opposite the Marina Central metro stop in Lusail. British curriculum from F1 through Y13, leading to IGCSE and A-levels. Facilities at opening included an Olympic-size pool, theatre and underground drop-off, and fees sit in the QAR 29,500 to 64,000 band depending on year group. With less than a full academic year on the ground, an independent reputation for this specific campus has not formed yet; the older Newton campuses in Doha vary in how parents talk about them, so Barwa City or Lagoon experience does not necessarily transfer here.

Positives

  • Location. Directly opposite Marina Central metro on the Lusail line, with the Pearl a short hop away. For families already in Lusail or along the metro corridor the commute logic is unusually clean for Doha.
  • Facilities at launch. Olympic-size pool, theatre, libraries and an underground car park for drop-off, all built out as a new-build rather than retrofitted. Standard Newton group offer of EYFS through A-levels under one roof.

Considerations

  • New campus, no track record. The school opened in August 2025. Inspection outcomes, exam results and a settled parent body do not yet exist for this campus. Early-year hires, leadership and culture take a couple of cohorts to read.
  • Newton group context. Newton runs roughly ten campuses across Doha and quality varies branch to branch. The international academy at Barwa City is the one Doha parents most often point to favourably; the British Academy sister brands draw more uneven comment. Reputations from other campuses should not be read across to Lusail without caveat.
  • Fees. QAR 29,500 to 64,000 across the year groups for 2025/26, with a one-off registration adding roughly QAR 2,750 in the first year. Bus, uniform and trips sit outside the fee. Mid-market for a Lusail British option.
