Uptown International School

IB World School in Mokattam, with the Primary Years Programme and Diploma Programme alongside an American high school diploma. One of the few full IB-continuum options on the east-Cairo side that is not in New Cairo proper.

Mokattam is a practical filter: the school works for families living in the area or in nearby Maadi who do not want the daily run out to New Cairo. Inquiry-based PYP from the early years, then the IB Diploma at the top, with a parallel American diploma route for students who do not want full DP. Limited public review traffic but the consistent thread among the small set of voices is positive on community feel and the IB approach.

Numbers are small and the campus is contained, which suits families wanting a less industrial setting than the bigger compound schools. Families who want IGCSE/A Level or a full British track will need to look elsewhere, since UIS is committed to the IB and American spine.
