Carleton College

Carleton College is a young IB continuum school in Shorouq City, opened in 2021 and part of the Arab Company for Education (ACE) group.

It runs the full IB sequence, PYP, MYP, and Diploma, alongside an American track, with pupils from age 3 to 18. Cognia accreditation and IB authorisation are both in place. Being part of ACE means the school sits alongside other group schools in Cairo and benefits from shared back-office capacity, though parents should treat that as logistics rather than as an academic edge.

The school is too new for a clear public reputation. The handful of public reviews are positive about facilities and the campus environment, but the cohort has not yet been through full IB Diploma cycles long enough for trend data to mean much. Families considering Carleton should ask about teacher retention, IB results once they exist, and how the PYP-to-MYP-to-DP handoff is being managed at a school still building out its senior years.
