Beijing Aidi School

Established K-12 bilingual school in Chaoyang, founded in 1999 and one of the older private international names in Beijing. Multiple senior pathways including A-Level, AP, BTEC and the Australian WACE, with around 11,000 students across the wider Aidi group.

Aidi runs as a boarding and day school with a heavy STEM, arts and sports programme, mostly Chinese-passport students with a smaller cohort of international families. The school sells itself on a 1:3 teacher-to-student ratio for senior school and on the diploma options it offers, particularly the WACE route, which is unusual in Beijing.

Independent parent voice is sparse. The few signals that surface are positive on facilities and on the breadth of senior-school choice, with the standard caveat that quality of any one pathway depends on the specific subject team. Fees for 2023-24 ran roughly 180,000 to 320,000 RMB plus around 14,000 RMB for lunch. The honest read is that Aidi is a serious local-international option for families who want bilingual education with a Chinese gravitational centre, rather than a fully expat-facing school.
