Not a conventional school. Learnlife runs three Barcelona-area hubs as a project-based, mentor-led alternative to mainstream education, founded in 2017. Families exhausted by traditional schooling, or with children who simply did not thrive in it, are the audience.

The setup is three sites: an Urban Hub in central Barcelona for teenagers, an Eco Hub at Castelldefels for younger learners, and a Village Hub at Sant Pere de Ribes that opened in 2024 for the middle years. Days look more like a creative studio than a classroom, with personalised pathways and trusted mentors rather than teachers in the standard sense.

Parents who choose Learnlife tend to talk about a child becoming visibly happier and more confident, and about creativity returning. Academic credentialing pathways exist but the model is not aimed at families chasing top IB scores or selective university placements through a conventional route.

Fees sit well below the city's premium international schools. Anyone considering Learnlife should visit, talk to current families about university destinations, and be honest about whether their child needs structure or wants the opposite.
