Chaman Bhartiya School
A young ICSE school inside the Bhartiya City township off Thanisandra Main Road, founded around 2020 by Snehdeep Aggarwal of the Bhartiya Group.
In brief
A young ICSE school inside the Bhartiya City township off Thanisandra Main Road, founded around 2020 by Snehdeep Aggarwal of the Bhartiya Group. Authorised for IB MYP and IB Diploma, with a Cambridge A Level pathway also offered at the top.
Class sizes average around 15, deliberately small for the local market. The academic pitch is the in-house We Lead model, which sits 21st century skills and leadership work alongside ICSE content, designed under director Allan Andersen.
Has appeared in Times School Survey emerging-school lists for Bangalore. Signal from parents is thin and mostly through directory testimonials, which tilt positive on facilities, teacher quality and the township setting. The school is still building a track record at exam grades, so families committing to it are buying the philosophy and the Bhartiya City lifestyle as much as a tested outcomes record.
Reviews
A young school inside the Bhartiya City development off Thanisandra, opened in 2020 and still building out its senior years. ICSE through to Grade 10, with IB MYP authorised from 2024-25 and the IB Diploma authorised for the 2025-26 intake; A Levels also sit on the senior menu. Class sizes stay small, the tech kit is heavy (1:1 iPads, an Apple-flavoured digital stack, an AI and robotics lab), and parent commentary on the pedagogy is generally warm. The sticking points are the kind you would expect of a new campus in an active construction zone: noise and dust from the surrounding build-out, and an admin operation that parents say is still finding its rhythm.
Positives
- Teaching approach. Project-based learning and a 1:1 iPad setup come through in parent commentary. Teachers come across as engaged and the pedagogy feels intentional rather than off-the-shelf.
- Class sizes and access to teachers. Small cohorts and a low student-to-teacher ratio are a consistent positive. Children are not lost in the crowd.
- Curriculum pathway. ICSE through middle school with IB MYP, IB Diploma, and Cambridge A Levels on the senior pathway. The DP authorisation only landed for 2025-26, so the senior years are new ground.
- Fees relative to peer schools. Sits below the top tier of Bangalore international schools for what's on offer. Parents tend to describe it as good value rather than cheap.
Considerations
- Track record. Founded in 2020 with the senior IB years only just coming online. No meaningful exam-results history yet, and the first DP cohorts will set the tone.
- Site environment. The Bhartiya City development around the campus is still being built out. Parents mention construction noise and dust from lorry traffic on the access roads.
- Communication and admin. Some parents talk about patchy responsiveness from the administration and want more transparency on day-to-day logistics. The school appears to be aware and improving, but it comes up.
- Commute. Thanisandra and the Kannuru side of north Bangalore work well for families already in Hebbal, Yelahanka, or Manyata Tech Park. From south or east Bangalore it's a long run in traffic.
