In brief
A new boutique primary school in Kedungu, just north of Tanah Lot, blending Cambridge Primary and PYP elements with outdoor and garden-based learning.
The school is small and recently opened, taking children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. It runs a dedicated bus along Raya Canggu with four pickup points and two staff per route, which matters given how unworkable a self-drive school commute is in this corridor. Indonesian language sits twice a week in every class.
Fees in the IDR 119 million range for a four-year-old in 2025 to 2026 put it in the mid-tier locally, well below Green School or Canggu Community. There is no real parent voice yet given how new the school is, so families considering it should treat the visit and the trial day as the main signal. Founder Alexine Haus heads the school. Its competition for these families is more often the smaller Pererenan and Munggu set than the large Canggu or Ubud institutions.

Reviews
A new primary school on the Tabanan coast, opened in August 2024 and still building its first cohorts. The pitch is Cambridge Primary spliced with IB PYP habits, small classes, gardens and a farm on site, with a bus that pulls children out from the Canggu strip each morning. Independent parent commentary is essentially absent at this stage; what's visible is the shape of the school rather than how it has settled.
Positives
- Class size and feel. Around 100 pupils across the primary years, average class around eight, capped at eighteen. Closer to a village school than a Canggu campus.
- Outdoor learning. Garden, small farm and outdoor classrooms are core to the day, not a once-a-week add-on. Sits on the quiet Kedungu coast, minutes from the beach.
- Curriculum mix. Cambridge Primary as the academic spine, with inquiry-led PYP teaching strategies layered on top. Indonesian taught alongside English from the start.
Considerations
- Newness. First academic year only began in August 2024. Systems, staff stability and any track record on transitions to secondary are unproven.
- Location and commute. Kedungu sits west of Canggu in Tabanan. The bus runs four pickup points along Raya Canggu; without it, the drive each way is a commitment.
- Fees and scale. Annual fees fall roughly IDR 114.8 to 139.8 million for 2025/26, with around IDR 119.8 million in year one once one-off charges are added. The school ends at Grade 6, so families need a next step in mind.
