In brief
A long-standing British-pattern school in Khalda, opened in 1986 and now operating as Repton New English School under a partnership with Repton in Derbyshire.
Around 1,500 students from age two to eighteen, drawn from over 35 nationalities. Cambridge Primary feeds into IGCSE and A Level, with an English Only Stream that runs alongside the bilingual track. The English Only route is what attracts most foreign families, since it removes the heavy Arabic load that local-track Jordanian schools build in.
Facilities are unusually strong for Amman, with a theatre, indoor sports halls and a 1,000-seat football stadium. The Repton tie-up brings staff exchanges, curriculum support and access to the Repton schools network beyond Jordan. Parent reviews talk most about teacher accessibility and a small-community feel despite the size. Fees JOD 3,650 to 11,900 a year, mid-market for the city.

Reviews
- in 2024, parents listed three Amman schools that meet international-curriculum criteria: Amman Baccalaureate, the New English School and Modern American School. NES is one of the three named without caveat.
- An older r/jordan post recommended NES alongside Amman Academy and Amman Baccalaureate to a student picking between IB and SAT pathways.
- Independent aggregator signal is thin and polarised. The International School Advisor page sits at 2.0 across four ratings but only one review is visible, a five-star Google review calling the school 'my second home'.
- The school is in the West Amman Khalda cluster, repeatedly flagged as the area with the best private schools, and the senior physical plant including a 1000-seat football stadium gets called out in directory write-ups.
- No teaching, behaviour or governance complaints surface in the parent-side pool; the dominant signal is positioning and physical facilities.
