In brief
A young IB continuum school in Dabouq founded in 2012, authorised for PYP, MYP and DP. Bilingual delivery in Arabic and English, with a single-sex structure from grade 6 upward.
Coeducational through grade 5, then girls only beyond that, which makes BIA an unusual fit in the Amman international sector and rules it out for families with older boys. One of only a handful of schools in Jordan running all three IB programmes through to Diploma.
Fees in the lower-to-mid range for Amman and a published homework policy that explicitly tells parents not to hire tutors or teach at home. Intake is predominantly Jordanian. Worth a look for families wanting an all-girl secondary with a full IB track.
Reviews
A girls-focused school in Dabouq, with boys accepted only through grade 5. Sits at the lower-to-mid end of the Amman international fee range, and runs an IB-track programme with bilingual English and Arabic instruction from the early years through diploma.
Positives
- Girls-focused intake. Designed around girls all the way through, with boys phased out after grade 5. The cohort and the school's stated ethic, ethical women of action, are aligned in a way most coed schools in Amman are not.
- Bilingual track. English and Arabic carry the teaching from age two upwards, with French added later. Arabic stays serious rather than ornamental, which matters for families who want their daughters to leave with both languages intact.
- Fees. Annual fees sit roughly in the JOD 3,200 to JOD 10,150 band, lower than the top tier in Amman. For a school with IB programmes and a small bilingual setup, the pricing reads as accessible by Dabouq standards.
Considerations
- IB programme status. The school runs primary, middle and diploma IB programmes, but the picture across sources is uneven on whether the full continuum is fully authorised or still in candidate stages at certain levels.
